Rancho Bernardo Chamber of Commerce began San Diego North Educational Foundation as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on helping high school students prepare for their futures in the local workforce.
By 2009, SDNEF was running a successful soft-skills and mentorship program for high school students, and found participants internships with local businesses.
SDNEF now focuses on the emerging workforce–community college and trade school students, and high school seniors–offering programs to bridge the life skills gap by giving them the knowledge they need to connect with San Diego employers.
